Kuwait: KCWA organizes Career Guidance Workshop to expat students

Kuwait, 30 Oct 2016: Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA), a premier Mangalorean association in Kuwait organized Career Guidance Workshop for the students of Class VIII to Class XII at Indian Public School, Salmiya, here on Friday, October 28.

 

The compere Reema D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Susan Saldanha presented the prayer.

 

KCWA president Albert Praveen Menezes welcomed spiritual director Fr Noel D’Almeida and resource person Dr Norbert Lobo with bouquets of flowers to the dais.

 

Fr Noel, in his message to the students, laid emphasis on hard work and prayers.

 

During the first session by Dr Norbert Lobo explained the parents of students about the different approaches towards choosing the right career for their children and the importance of doing the right research based on the child’s skill, talent, passion and interests?

 

 

The second session was conducted by Crawford Wilson D’Souza, a well know mind and student trainer in Kuwait. He sensitized the students and parents alike the importance of training ones minds and how one can achieve success and fulfill ones dreams through simple techniques. With demonstrations involving the audience to experience the power of mind and visualization; it was a session which was enjoyed by one and all.

 

KCWA president Menezes presented D’Souza with a memento as a token of appreciation.

 

The last session was conducted by Dr Norbert where he gave an in-depth breakdown of all the career options available for arts, science and commerce streams to the students. It was a an insightful experience as most of the people learned of options and courses that they didn’t know existed or were possible to take up as a career.

 

KCWA president Menezes presented a memento to Dr Lobo as a token of gratitude and appreciation.

 

The event was concluded with a brief feedback session with the resource persons by the students and parents present.

 

KCWA thanked Indian Public School authorities for providing the auditorium, Waves Events & Rentals for sound, Alban D’Souza for photography and to all those who participated and for making KCWA’s first ever career guidance program a grand success.

 

The event was successfully co-ordinated by Anil Fernandes with the support of managing Committee members.
