ICYM Pangla is fully geared up for the Mega 13th Inter-Parish Singing Competition this Sunday

Udupi/Shankerpura, 28 Oct 2016: ICYM Pangla Unit is all set for the mega Inter-Parish Singing Competition to be held on Sunday the 30th October 2016 at 2.00pm on diocesan level at the St. John’s Sabha Bhavan.

 

Most Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo (Bishop-Udupi Diocese) will be the Chief Guest at the valedictory function and Most. Rev. Fr. Baptist Menezes (Vicar General – Udupi Diocese) will be the guest of honour.

 

The response for the competition is over-whelming and quite a large number of singers from most of the parishes of Udupi Diocese have enrolled for the mega event. Oliver D’Sa (President ICYM Pangla) and Rolson Fernandes (PRO, ICYM Pangla) expect a large number of entries on the competition day. However, they have requested all ICYM units of the diocese to enroll as early as possible to avoid last moment rush and it will also save them a lot of time and competition can be started well within the time i.e. sharp at 2pm.

ICYM Pangala is holding this event for successfully for the 13th year and all preparations are in place and even the exciting and wonderfully designed trophies will be presented to the winners. There are three specially designed trophies for overall Championships i.e. First, Second and Third Place.  In addition many trophies for each category such as solo, duet and group in each category will also be won by singers along with the certificates to be issued for every winner in addition to the trophies.

 

Three prominent judges having vast experience in the field of music and singing have been invited to judge the prestigious competition from Mangalore diocese.

 

A large number of singers, supporters, well-wishers and musicians are expected to attend this mega event. The members of ICYM Pangla unit are all geared up and ready for the mega event and expecting a large number of audience. ICYM members request every-one to come well in time so that the event can be held successfully and everyone will get the chance to compete and win loads of prizes. It is also time for the audience to listen and enjoy melodious singing by golden voices of singers from all over Udupi Diocese.
