CM Siddaramaiah arrives in city to lay foundation stone for Veterinary College

Mangaluru/Puttur, 09 Oct 2016: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah arrived in the city on Sunday for laying the foundation stone for a Veterinary College in Puttur.
Several Congress leaders including Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment and Dakshina Kannada district in-charge Ramanath Rai, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs UT Khader, MLC and Congress Chief Whip Ivan D’souza accorded a warm welcome to the Chief Minister.
When asked about the Cauvery issue, the Chief Minister told the media that they had the assurance that justice would be done after the Supreme Court took a decision next week.
With regard to the Yettinahole project he said that he would convene a meeting to discuss the issue. He added that there was a wrong notion that the Netravathi River would be diverted, instead the water for the project would be taken from certain place and it would not harm people.
