Puttur: Talents Day celebrated at St Philomena College

Puttur, 01 Sep 2016: Talents Day was celebrated at St Philomena College, here at College auditorium on Wednesday August 31.
The principal Professor Leo Noronha declared the Talents Day open and said, ‘Everyone has a unique talent or skill at which they truly excel. Today is the day to embrace that ability and show them off.’ He also encouraged them to take part in extra-curricular activities so that they can enhance their talents proving it to be beneficial in their future. He wished the students to be the ambassadors of Indian culture.
The Student Welfare Officer Bharathi Rai, the president of the Students Council Rakesh Rao, the secretary Jijo Joseph and the joint secretary Fathima Shirin were present on this occasion. The Student Welfare Officer Dr Vijaya Kumar M compered the programme.
The talents day was organized to provide a platform for all students to exhibit their special interest in dancing, singing, acting or some other area. The participants in groups and solo came up with mind-blowing performances. There were different forms of dance, songs in different languages, mime and plays bringing out different themes. It was a chance for the students to shine.
