Kuwait: Kuwait Canara Welfare Association convenes AGM

Kuwait, 28 Aug 2016: Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA), a premier Catholic Association in Kuwait, held its annual general body meeting at Indian Public School (IPS), Salmiya, here on Friday August 26.
The meeting commenced at 6:30pm with the opening prayer led by Satish Saldanha. KCWA president, Albert Praveen Menezes heartily welcomed the gathering and expressed his gratitude towards all the members for their support, love and encouragement.
Various Reports were presented and appreciated by all. Louis D’Costa and Deepak Andrade presented Minutes of last annual general body meeting and activity reports respectively. Finance, membership and educational fund reports were presented by Stevan Misquith, Vijay D’Souza and Reema D’Souza respectively. Cultural and sports activity updates were presented by Satish Saldanha and Lloyd D’Souza respectively. KCWA website and Facebook updates were presented by Rajesh Aranha. Monti Fest programme details were presented by Harry Fernandes. Lynette D’Souza briefed on the proceedings of upcoming GVOM Season 5 Semi-Finals. KCWA constitution amendments which were approved in the last annual general body meeting was signed by president. Lucky draw was held by Navin Mascarenhas for the members present at the venue. Wilfred D’Cunha emerged as the lucky winner.
KCWA spiritual director Fr Noel D’Almeida lauded the works and achievements of KCWA. Ronnie Suares and Mabel Andrade were inducted into the managing Committee.
Mabel Andrade proposed vote of thanks followed by closing prayer. Vice president Freya Saldanha compered the programme. Alban D’Souza captured the event through his skills in photography. Sound system was provided by Waves Events & Rentals - Anand D’Souza. Dinner was served by M&M Confectionary & Restaurant. Around 100 members and their families were present.
