Mumbai, 17 Aug 2016: Tulu Koota Pune® celebrated their nineteenth anniversary at Mahalaxmi Lawns, Karve Nagar, here on Monday August 15.
UAE Tuluver organizing secretary Sarvottam Shetty Abu Dhabi was the chief guest of the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sarvottam said that Tuluvas are known to make best of every opportunity to excel in life. Tuluvas have high regards for their parents, follow age-old traditions/customs and native culture. The gathering of large number of Tuluvas at the venue testifies the bond among the brethrens living away from hometowns. He further said, ‘The mother tongue, Tulu ought to be spoken at homes for the children to converse fluently. Many of regional languages are recognized by union government. This calls for all Tuluvas to unite for their just cause,’ said Sarvottam.
Tulu Koota Pune® president Taranat K Rai Meginaguttu presided the programme.
The litterateur and poet Simantoor Chandrahas Suvarna Mumbai and Bunts Assoiation Pune® president Jaya Shetty Miyar were the guests of honor, felicitated Sadananda Group of Hotels managing director and Gurudev Seva Balaga – Pune president Sadanand K Shetty during the programme.
Tulu Koota Pune vice president Mohan Shetty Yennehole, women wing president Nayana C Shetty, Pimpri – Chinchwad president Mahesh Hegde Kattingeri were present on the dais.
Shobha Y Shetty, Pramila S Shetty and Yashoda M Shetty rendered the prayers. The secretary Kiran B Rai Karnoor delivered the introductory address. The vice president Yashodar Gowda Konaje welcomed the gathering. Shobha T Shetty and Sasikala A Shetty introduced the guests. Wilma Martis read the citation letter.
