Puttur: St Philomena College - Eco Club on mission to revive paddy cultivation

Puttur, 16 Aug 2016: Eco Club of St Philomena College here planted paddy saplings in a farmland owned by Karthik and Shaila at Bellare, here on Sunday August 14, in order to do their mite in reviving the paddy cultivation that has been declining in undivided Dakshina Kannada district because it’s labor-intensive and unprofitable.

 

 

The students enthusiastically engaged in planting the saplings to get the taste of farming.

 

The conveners of Eco Club Nagaraju M, Rakshitha R B and Shashiprabha have co-ordinated the programme.
