Bantwal: Thousands of devotees have holy dip in lake of Karinjeshwar temple on Aati Amavasye

Bantwal, 03 Aug 2016: Thousands of devotees thronged the lake of Karinjeshwar temple that is located on the mythological Narahari hillock, near here to have holy dip on Tuesday August 2, on the occasion of Aati Amavasye.

 

Its customary for the newly-wedded couple to visit the temple on Aati Amavasye to offer prayers for marital bliss.

 

The temple governing council organized special arrangement for the benefit of innumerable devotees who arrived from far and near.

 

 

 

The state-run KSRTC authorities provided special bus services to and from B C Road, bus depot to Karinjeshwar temple, near here for outstation devotees.

 

Its significant that the devotees of all age groups walked hundreds of steps from the foothill of Narahari hillock leading to temple on the plateau.
