Bantwal: People lay seizure to Block Education Office to withdraw transfer of teachers

Bantwal, 20 Jul 2016: The members of school betterment Committees and locals laid seizure to the office of block education officer here on Tuesday July 19, urging the public instruction department to withdraw transfer of additional teachers of state-run lower and higher primary schools in taluk.
The Committee members were concerned over the circular issued by block education officer to 50 teachers who are shortlisted for transfers citing excess in the entire taluk for counseling on Tuesday July 19. The primary teachers Association submitted a memorandum to Tahsildar to withdraw the procedure in view of empowering state-run schools.
The block education officer Sheshashayana Karinja said that its not possible to withdraw the procedure as public instruction department already implemented in 21 districts of Karnataka.
ZP member Ravindra Kambali, local leaders Rajesh Kottary, Ramlan, Hussein, Dayanand Sapalya, Harish Acharya, Yashoda and others were present. The locals of Kedila, Yermal, Kalladka, Pudu, Maripalla and others were present in large numbers.
