Puttur: Orientation on Credit Based Semester Scheme at St Philomena College

Puttur, 20 Jul 2016: IQAC and CC and EC Cell of St Philomena College, here organized an Orientation Programme on Credit Based Semester Scheme of Mangalore University at College auditorium on Monday July 18.
Professor Dinakara Rao, Associate Professor of Economics was the resource person. Speaking on the Credit Based Semester Scheme, he said, ‘The main objective of Mangalore University in introducing the Credit Based Semester Scheme was to make the higher education at par with the global practices in terms of academic standards and evaluation strategies.’
Professor Leo Norohna, principal of the College presided the function.
Dr A P Radhakrishna, Convener of IQAC and co-ordinator of certificate courses briefed about various certificate courses offered during this academic year.
The conveners of various functional units gave a detailed note of the activities to be conducted. Then all the first year Degree students have submitted their application forms for CC and EC activities.
Sharanya rendered the prayer. Professor Udaya K, co-ordinator of CC and EC Cell welcomed the gathering. Professor Rajeshwari, co-convener of CC and EC Cell compered the programme.
