DySP ends life in Madikeri lodge; names Minister KJ George in suicide note
Madikeri/Mangaluru, 08 Jul 2016: Deputy Superintendent of Police MK Ganapati who allegedly ended his life in a lodge in his hometown has reportedly held some officials and a minister responsible for his suicide.
MK Ganapati (51) was serving in Mangaluru and was also the inspector at Kadri police station during the 2008 Church attacks.
It is learnt that Ganapati visited Madikeri on Thursday morning and stayed at Sri Vinayaka lodge where he allegedly ended his life. A two-page suicide note revealed that Bengaluru Development and Town Planning Minister KJ George and some other officials were responsible for his suicide.
Ganapati hailed from Madikeri and his family resided in a rented flat in Mangaluru.
Opposition leader Jagadish Shettar has demanded Minister KJ George’s resignation and suspension of the other officials named in the note.
The incident comes only a couple of days after DySP Kallappa Handibag committed suicide in Belagavi when he was accused of kidnap and demanding ransom.
