Mumbai: Bharat Co-op Bank opens 95th branch at Palghar (W), Thane district

Mumbai, 08 Jul 2016: Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited opened its 95th branch at Puneet Nagar, Tembode Road, Palghar (West), Thane district, near here on Thursday July 7.

 

The Bank chairman Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated the new branch by cutting the ribbon, while Maharashtra Home guards retired Commandant Ramdas L Jawarkar inaugurated by lighting the lamp.

 

 

The Bank director Damodar C Kundar inaugurated the ATM kiosk, director R D Poojary inaugurated the safe lockers and managing director/CEO C R Mulky inaugurated the banking services.

 

Palghar Hotel Owners Association president and district Congress (I) veteran leader Polya Surendra Shetty and Khar – Shanimahatma Seva Samiti president Shankar K Suvarna was the guest of honor.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Thane district newspaper reporters Federation president and Sakal – Marathi daily senior journalist P M Patil said that Bharat Bank is the leading bank with large clientele base. Its strength lies in diverse customers from every strata of society.  

 

The Bank directors Damodar C Kundar, R D Poojary and Bhaskar M Salian, chief general manager Anil Kumar R Amin, general manager Nityanand D Kotian, deputy general managers V S Shanbagh and Navinchandra S Bangera, former director N M Sanil, retired general manager Shobha Dayanand, new branch manager Jyoti Jawarkar, assistant manager Prakash Poojary, staff Vijay Sanil, Abhilash Suvarna, Atul Paradkar and others were present.

 

The entrepreneur and social activist Prabhakar Salian Boisar, Kandaswamy Tevar, Vasu Poojary, Karunakar Salian, Bhujanga Shetty Boisar, Surendra Shetty, Srinivas Kotian Boisar, Satish Shetty, S K Swamy, Praveen Shetty, Jagannat M Amin, Yogesh Shetty, Girish Shetty, Mayur N Joshi, architect Yogesh Mahadik, Prashant Shetty Kaup, Rajesh Shetty Hejmady, the Bank development officers Sunil Gujaran, Vijay Palan and Avish Poojary and hundreds of customers, shareholders, well wishers were present.

 

The Vedic celebrant Ulloor Shekar Shanti, Ulloor Dhananjay Shanti and Dinesh Shanti performed religious rites at the new branch, while Gangadhar Kallady distributed the prasadams. Jyoti Rajesh Javarkar couple was present through puja celebrations.

 

The Bank deputy general manager and head of development department Mohandas Hejmady welcomed the gathering and compered the programme.
