Bishop Dr Gerald Lobo inaugurates newly-built classrooms at Trinity Central School, Perampalli

Udupi, 17 Jun 2016: Education should not limit to mere knowledge, instead it has to be inclusive for human growth, said bishop Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo of Udupi diocese.
Bishop Dr Lobo was speaking after inaugurating the newly-built block of classrooms at Trinity Central School, Perampalli, near here on Thursday June 16.
‘The students have a notion that education should help them to earn living that is true, but the need of the hour is it has to contribute for all round growth of the student,’ said bishop Dr Lobo.
The former MLA Raghupati Bhat was the chief guest lauded the contribution of Christians in education and health spheres of undivided Dakshina Kannada district. He further said, ‘The choice of medium of education is up to the parents, pressures will not work. The choice of sustaining Kannada and other languages is up to the students and their parents,’ said Bhat.
The architect Praveen, contractor Marcel and Stany, benefactor Tingalaya were felicitated at the same occasion.
Karnataka Capuchin provincial Fr Joseph Dolphy Pais, Perampalli parish priest Fr Romeo Lewis, Trinity Vihar in-charge Fr Claude Mascarenhas, Capuchin Education Society secretary Fr Alwyn Dias, PTA representatives were present.
