Vijaya Kalavidaru, Tulu play troupe presents 50th show of ’Lekka Tatti Bokka’

Mangaluru, 16 Jun 2016: Tulu theater that depicts Tulunadu culture and traditions got world recognition. Vijaya Kalividaru, theater troupe of Kinnigoli that fosters Tulu theater artistes in the rural villages ought to get a proper stage in town, in order to exhibit their talent, said Karnataka state youth services and sports minister K Abayachandra Jain.
The minister Abayachandra was speaking during the 50th show of Tulu play, Lekka Tatti Bokka that was staged by Vijaya Kalavidaru, Kinnigoli, near here at Town Hall, here on Wednesday June 15.
Karnataka Sahitya Parishat former state president – religious leader Harikrishna Punaroor in his presidential address said that Tulu theater is contributing for the sustenance of Tulunadu by staging plays in rural villages that has social messages.
Vedamurti K Laxminarayana Asranna of Durgaparameshwari temple, Kateel, near here graced the occasion.
Mangaluru mayor Harinat Jogi felicitated theater enthusiasts Niddody Chavadimane Jagannat Shetty, Yadav Kotian Permude and Ashok Yermal on the same occasion.
He said that the blue print will be ready to construct a amphitheater in Mangaluru city at a cost of Rs 1 crore to promote Tulu theater.
World Bunts Federation vice president Ikala Harish Shetty felicitated Harish Padubidri, playwright of Tulu play, Lekka Tatti Bokka, director Jagdish Shetty Kenchanakere and all artistes including technical crew.
The theater critic K K Pejavar presented the view of 50th show of Tulu play, Lekka Tatti Bokka.
