Mangaluru: Saffron Foundation (NGO) honors social work pioneers in city

Mangaluru, 14 Jun 2016: Environmentalist Jeeth Milan Roche, Doordarshan journalist S Jayaram and international power-lifter Geethabai Ullal were honored by The Saffron Foundation, a city based NGO at City Center, here on Sunday June 12.
The felicitation programme was organized as part of their future programme, ’Saffron Smiles’ a fund-raising event for the construction of home for the old in city.
Environmentalist Professor Dr Murali Mohan Choontharu who felicitated the esteemed guests gave a cal to people to come forward and help the needy.
‘Social work only requires willingness and determination to bring a change in the society. The Saffron Foundation has been rendering its service since 2002 in the same field. We must appreciate their hardwork and be part of such noble gestures,’ he added.
Expressing gratitude towards the felicitation, environmentalist Jeeth Milan Roche and others gave a call to youth to render their service to the society.
The Foundation general secretary Sanija K, members Anisha Nishanth, Nishanth Shetty and Wilma Serrao were present on the occasion.
The programme was organized in association with Pranha Events and Revelation Dance Inc.
