Mangaluru, 27 May 2016: The social and voluntary organizations in the society got to work with specific objectives. They will have to pool the resources from the haves to share with the have nots. Serving humanity is indeed noble, said Swami Dr Vishwasantosh Bharati of Barkoor mutt, Kundapura taluk of Udupi district.
He was delivering religious discourse that was organized by Bantara Sangha, Kottara – Kodical, here at Sri Krishna Jnanodaya Bhajan Mandir, here on Thursday May 26.
The need of the hour is to harvest the rain water for better use in household families. It is also essential to set aside one-tenth of annual income by the rich for the betterment of lower strata of people in the society, appealed Swami.
Bantara Sangha, Kottara – Kodical president B Kamalaksha Shetty presided the programme. International Bunts Welfare Trust president A Sadanand Shetty was the chief guest of the occasion.
The collection of old coins and currency notes by B Kamalksha Shetty was handed over to Swami during the programme, to exhibit at the mutt.
Barkoor mutt – Mangaluru unit president Sureschandra Shetty, vice president Pushparaj Shetty, Rohit Shetty Tarnjiguttu, former secretary Sunil Kumar Shetty, office bearers Shivaprasad Shetty, Rekha K Shetty, Hotel Surabi proprietor A Sudhir Prasad Shetty, former mayor Sasidar Hegde, Bantara Sangha – Ullal president K Ravindra Shetty Ulidottu, Kreeda Bharati president K Chandrashekar Rai were present.
Bantara Sangha vice president Madhukar Shetty welcomed the gathering. Secretary Ashok Rai delivered the introductory address. The former president Mahabala Chowta proposed vote of thanks. Mallika Ajit Shetty Siddakatte compered the programme.
