Shivamogga Judge Bhamini urges people to promote aforestation for future sustenance

Udupi, 23 May 2016: As per the botanists, the worth of a tree would be Rs 33 crore, if one really takes into account its benefits. The mankind is recklessly destroying the nature that has shrunk to 12 to 13 percent that got to be increased to at least 33 percent, said Shivamogga district senior civil judge Bhamini Sridar.
Bhamini was the chief guest speaking during the valedictory of children’s weeklong summer camp – Insect in search of honey that was organized by Pandarinat Bhajan Mandir, Kanakoda – Padukare, near Shirva, here on Sunday May 22.
The future generation will suffer if we do not plant trees. The need of the hour is conservation of our fragile eco-environment. The summer camp indeed creates awareness in this regard. It also shapes the future success and leads the nation to prosperity, said Bhamini.
The achievement has no gender bias; determination is the essence of success. The summer amp helps the children to exhibit their inherent talent. It also helps for overall development of an individual. It also makes the future responsible citizens, added Bhamini.
Udupi zilla panchayat president Dinakar Babu, Udyavar gram panchayat member Jitendra Shetty, Sasikala D, fisheries entrepreneur Ramesh D Mendon Kodavoor was present at the dais.
