Abu Dhabi: Eagles Cricketers celebrate 16th Anniversary with live music & joy

Abu Dhabi, 24 May 2016: Eagles Cricketers Abu Dhabi - one of the premiere cricket enthusiasts club consisting members from coastal Karnataka, celebrated its sixteenth anniversary at Foodlands here on May 19.  A gathering of 75 people consisting members, families and friends were present for the celebrations.

 

The programme started with a brief prayer and thereafter, Eagles president Elias Fernandes accorded a grand welcome to everyone.  He thanked all the well-wishers and  supporters of Eagles Cricketers especially  Walter D’Almeida of Regal Furnishings & Storage Systems - Abu Dhabi, Venugopal Reddy of Reliance Golden Shark Electromechanical,  Leo Rodrigues - Al Mazroui & Clevy Automobile Services LLC,  Dines Fernandis – Precision Oil field Supplies, Ramesh Shetty – Eldorado Restaurant, Broadway Event Management and founder member  Ronald D’Souza.

 

The entertainment session started with dance by Litsa Menezes followed by live singing by Ronnie M and DJ Girish.  Compere of the evening Sharan D’Souza engaged the gathering with his witty and humorous jokes as well as conducted games for children, gentlemen, ladies and couples.

 

Cricketers’ awards were presented to the Eagles members in various categories like best batsman, bowling, fielding and so on.

 

 

Marsha Menezes performed dance for bollywood remix and member Sandeep Saldanha performed dance for bollywood oldies.  New Committee for the year 2016-17 was formed. Rohan Lasrado elected as the president of Eagles Cricketers, Syed Abdul Rahim as vice president, Andrew Noronha as CEO, Praveen Lasrado as assistant CEO.  Rahim was chosen for the award evergreen cricketer of Eagles.

 

Mary Hilda D’Souza/Fernandes was honored by Eagles Cricketers for her achievements in the field of athletics as she had participated in many games in national as well as international level and won the medals for the country.  She was presented a memento on the occasion.

 

A humorous presentation and the achievements of Eagles Cricketers was projected in the screen by senior member Prakash D’Souza.

 

The evening concluded with dances by members for the lively DJ music and sumptuous buffet dinner.
