Pandit Resort felicitates Mishal D’Costa, only candidate selected in Civil Services from DK

Moodbidri, 23 May 2016: Pandit Health Resort & Spa, here felicitated Mishal Queeni D’Saouza who is the only candidate selected from entire Dakshin Kannada district for Civil services 2016.

 

She is the daughter of Lazarus and Nancy D’Costa residents of Niddodi Village, near here.

 

The programme started byh lighting the lamp by Swasti Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swami of Jain mutt, BJP leader Shri Jagadish Adhikari, Fr Basil Vaz, parish priest of Our Lady of Rosary, Alangar, here, Alangar, Goel couple - chief promoter of Pandit Resort, chairperson Ruby Agarwal and Mishal.

 

 

Ruby Agarwal in her welcome speech lauded the success of Mishal and explained that Civil Services is the toughest competition and only about 1,000 deserving and intelligent candidates get selected out of approx. 5 lac candidates who appear for the UPSC exams.

 

Agarwal also mentioned that Pandit Health Resort & Spa in its endeavor to encourage the talents and achievements from different fields had already honored Mamtha Poojary - Asian Games Gold Medal Kabbadi champion, Poovamma - Asian Games Gold Medal Athletic winner, Sony Shetty - Gold Medalist Malaysian Junior Karate Champion, Afreen Vaz - Femina Miss India International, bollywood ace choreographer Saroj Khan, bollywood hit movie - Bajrangi Bhaijaan producer from Mangaluru Rajesh Bhat, CREDAI president D B Mehta and others in the past.

 

Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swami, Dr Anand of Anand Siddhipeetham, Bangaluru, BJP leader Jagadish Adhikari, Fr Basil Vaz, Dr Vinay kumar Hegde, Archana from Jet Airways spoke on this occasion and gave their blessings to Mishal.

 

Lazarus D’Costa got emotional during his speech and thanked Pandit Resort for the gesture shown to his daughter.

 

Mishal Queeni D’Costa in her speech said that by honoring her by Pandit Resort has shown the way to all aspirants of Civil Services and she hoped that if at least one student could be inspired by this gesture she would be happy.

 

Goel chief promoter of Pandit Health Resort in his speech mentioned the hardship faced by Mishal is the source of happiness now not only for herself but also to her entire family. He recalled that how he and his family felt proud when his brother Chand Goel became the first IAS officer from Mathura district and again when his brother married the first lady IPS officer Sridevi Goel of Maharashtra. Goel advised Mishal to do her work without any pressure and distinction of caste and creed.

 

The felicitation ceremony of Mishal Queeni D’Costa was done traditionally by shawl, garland, memento, fruits, bouquets and flowers by all the dignitaries.
