Mangaluru: Two members of same family on Holy pilgrimage dies in road mishap at KSA

Mangaluru, 17 May 2016: Two members of the same family hailing from Montepadav, near here among others who were returning from holy pilgrimage to Mecca, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) were died in a tragic road mishap at Kassim Road, Jubail, KSA.
The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Abbas and his mother 50-year-old Khatijamma. Abbas’s father 60-year-old Mohammed and Abbas’s wife 20-year-old Mainaz were injured and are under treatment at Kassim Hospital.
Abbas was working in a construction company at Jubail, KSA and brought his family for holy pilgrimage 15 days ago. They had gone in 2 separate cars along with Malayalee friends family to holy pilgrimage and were returning to Jubail when Abbas’s car hit the divider at 2.00am. As a result, mother and the son died on the spot. Abbas was married to Maina, a native of Kannangar, in Mulky, near here 6 months ago. He is survived by his 2 sisters and one brother.
The state health minister U T Khader visited the grieving family of Abbas at Montepadav, near here and consoled the family. Naringana gram panchayat president Ismail Meenankody, member Mohammed Fayaz, ZP former member N S Karim and others were present.
