Bombay South Kanara Brahmin Association celebrates Adi Shankaracharya Jayanti

Mumbai, 16 May 2016: Bombay South Kanara Brahmin (BSKB) Association in collaboration with Sri Subramanya Seva Sangh and Gopalakrishna Public Trust, Sion, here celebrated the birth anniversary of Adi Shankaracharya at Gokul, Sion, here on Sunday May 15.
The Vedic celebrations were held at Sri Krishna temple, Sion, here in honor of Adi Shankaracharya.
The Vedic celebrant Brahmasri Vagisha Shastry led the celebrations along with temple priests and Vedamurti Nagabhushan Shastry Udupi, Nagesh Rao Panvel.
P Radhakrishna Rao and Usha Rao couple, Rajesh Rao and Vinodini Rao couple, Ratnakar Rao and Rama Rao couple, Balachandra Rao and Prabhavati Rao couple partaken in the celebrations.
Brahmasri Vagisha Shastry delivered a religious discourse explaining the life of Adi Shankaracharya and rich texts that are available in Sanskrit on Adi Shankaracharya.
The worship concluded with distributing the prasadam and fellowship meal with devotees.
