Udupi: SMVITM organizes free dental checkup camp at Bantakal

Udupi, 26 April 2016: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit, Youth Red Cross wing (YRC) and the Rotaract Club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, near here, in association with the department of public health dentistry, Dr A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Deralakatte, Mangaluru, organized one-day free dental check-up camp at the institute premises on Sunday April 24.

 

 

Dr Kumuda Rao, department of oral medicine and radiology at Dr A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Deralakatte, Mangaluru inaugurated the camp. 

 

Professor Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat and Professor Dr A Ganesha, principal and dean (Academics) of SMVITM respectively;  NSS/YRC co-ordinator Nagaraja Rao, faculty co-ordinators, Krishnakumar, Narayan Nayak and  Reshma Hebbar; members of the NSS, YRC and Rotaract Club and student volunteers were present during the inaugural function.

 

Around 150 people, including members of the faculty, staff and students of SMVITM and the public has availed themselves of the services provided at the camp.
