Udupi: Chess is mind game, enables children to develop IQ - Allen Lewis

Udupi, 13 April 2016: Chess is a mind game that helps the children to develop their IQ, if they take earnest interest since their childhood, said Rotary district assistant governor Allen Lewis.
Allen was speaking after inaugurating chess training camp that began at Sri Ram Mandir, Hiriadka, near here on Monday April 11. It was organized jointly by Rotary Club of Manipal Town, Palli Srinivas Hegde Charitable Trust, Kotnakatte Friends Circle, Nartaki Friends Seva Trust and GSB Seva Samiti.
Palli Srinivas Hegde Charitable Trust secretary Nataraj Hegde, Kotnakatte Friends Circle president Divakar Bhandary, Nartaki Friends Seva Trust honorary president Prabhakar Shetty, chess coach Dr Gurumurti S C were present.
Rajashree rendered the prayers. Nartaki Friends Seva Trust president Sacchidanand Shetty welcomed the gathering. Rotary Club of Manipal Town secretary Raghavendra G proposed vote of thanks. Balakrishna B K compered the programme. Ravi Shetty assisted in the programme.
