Mangaluru: Namma Kudla, Tulu movie premiered in 13 theaters in Udupi & DK

Mangaluru, 10 Apr 2016: Namma Kudla, Tulu movie was premiered in 13 theaters across Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts during the function held at Jyoti theater, here on April 8.
 
Earlier, a automobile rally by the lead artistes of the movie was held from Mahaganapati temple, Sharavu till Jyoti talkies. Asare Foundation chairperson Dr Asha Jyoti Rai launched the movie at Jyoti theater here.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Asha said that Yugadi is the beginning of New Year, while the movie directed by a women director releasing on this auspicious occasion is a great joy indeed for Tulu natives. She hoped the movie gives a social message that would transform the people to lead better lives.

 

 
Vidyaratna English Medium School chairman K Ravindra Shetty Ulidottu conveyed best wishes to all casts of the movie.
 
The movie producer Lokesh Shetty Mucchoor, Chandikori – Tulu movie producer Sachin Uppinangady, Dombarata – Tulu movie producer Rajesh Brahmavar, Namma Kudla – Tulu movie casts Gopinat Bhat, Santosh Shetty and Laxman Mallur, cameraman Basavaraj Hassan, lead artistes Prakash Shetty Dharmanagara and Ashwini Harish Nayak and others were present.
 
The movie has a message of War for Peace that has lots of comedy to entertain people of all age groups and communities. It’s for the first time that a women director Ashwini Harish Nayak has directed a Tulu movie.
 
One-hundred-eight artistes are cast in the movie, while 95 percent of them are first timers. The movie has been shot in 45 days. The trailer of movie has become hit in youtube already.

 

The movie has been premiered in 13 theaters of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts – Jyoti theater, PVR, Cinepolis and Big Cinemas in Mangaluru city, Kalpana theater in Udupi, Ionex theater in Manipal, Radhika theater in Karkala, Amarashree theater in Moodbidri, Nataraj theater in Suratkal, Nakshatra theater in B C Road, Bharat theater in Beltangady, Aruna theater in Puttur and Santosh theater in Sullia.
 
The movie has been produced under the banner Kushi Films by Aman Productions. Aslam Pasha is the co-producer. Gururaj M B directed the 6 songs.
  
The lead artiste Chaya Harsha, renowned theater artiste Laxman Mallur, Gopinat Bhat, Santosh Shetty, Satish Bandale, Dinesh Attavar, Aslam Pasha, Ramesh Rai Kukkuvalli, Sunil Nelligudde, Prasanna Bailoor, Bachu Adyapady, Sukesh Shetty, Chetan Pilar, J P Toominadu, Skylark Raj, Dayanand Budria, Sujata, Winnie Fernandes and others are cast in the movie.
