Udupi: Anil Pangla all set for release of his Konkani CD at his Maiden Musical Nite

Pangala/S.Pura, 19 March 2016: The son of soil and a well-known singer, Anil Pangla a man with golden voice is all set to present his maiden Musical Nite and to release his first Konkani songs CD titled: "Hamv Tuzoch Mora Pasun" on 27th Sunday 2016 (Easter Day) at 6pm. ICYM Pangla will be organizing the great musical Nite sung by various local singers. The musical event will be held at St. John’s Evangelist Church Open ground. Most Rev. Fr. Baptist Menezes, Vicar General of the Udupi Diocese will be the Chief Guest of the event.

 

 

On this auspicious occasion our special correspondent Alphonse Mendonsa had a brief chit-chat with Anil and following are the excerpts of that conversation:

“The idea of producing my own CD was in my mind a long time ago but due to other occupation and business. I could not concentrate much on this project. But now with the help of our good friends in the musical field this was possible. The main singers of my maiden CD are Acacio Pereira, Prajot D’Sa, Babita Pinto, Meera Crasta, Varun D’Sa (Anil’s son), Melania Lobo, Ashish Palan, Charan Malya, Shilpa Cuthinno and the lyrics by Joel Pereira, Lloyd Rego, Walter Monteiro and Irene D’Souza. Music given by: Roshan D’souza, Anjelore. The songs were recorded at: Sandesha by Joel Pereira, Mastering and Mixing by Nithin Kottungal.”

 

When I asked to whom you would like to dedicate this CD, he said that he is very grateful for his parents Anthony D’Sa and Lilly D’Sa for their overwhelming support to build up his career musically as well as business wise.

 

His is also grateful to Joel Pereira for his constant support and encouragement to produce the CD.

 

 

How do you manage marketing the CD I asked and he said his good friend in Saudi Arabia a Pangalites Eric D’Sa who support all the musicians have come forward to help him out to sell the CDs in the gulf.

 

Anil has sung in 58 konkani CDs and sung in many stage programs and has been doing DJ for the last 12 years. Truly, the man with golden voice and multi-talents will surely present a great musical nyte and his maiden Konkani Songs CD: "Hamv Tuzoch Mora Pasun" will definitely worth a buy and to enjoy the melodious songs by him and other famous singers in the region.

 

 

The CD will be released by his parents at the Musical Nite by Anil Pangla which is organized by ICYM Pangla who are his constant supporters. Anil’s Musical Nite which will have a few local singers namely Andrew Mathias, Oliver Rebello, Prakash D’Souza, Babitha Pinto and Melania Lobo. There will be a humorous touch to enthrall the audience with their rib tickling comedy by John Rodrigues and team. A few dances group and duet will be presented by the members of ICYM Pangla.

 

The event will be compered by Flavia Menezes and Donald D’Souza.
