Mankind planning to set foot on Mars; but reluctant to visit next door neighbour - Manohar Prasad

Bantwal, 13 March 2016: ‘We are thinking of setting foot in distant planet of Mars, but we are reluctant to visit our next door neighbour, because we are imprisoned our minds,’ said senior journalist Manohar Prasad.
Manohar was delivering keynote lecture during a programme held at taluk resource centre, organized jointly by the office of Bantwal block education and resource centre, here on Saturday March 12.
The wall paintings in government offices set an example for state-run other schools, said Manohar. Because the pleasant ambience is improving productivity and efficiency, he added. The human values are declining. The social networking sites are threatening peace in society. At this situation, the teachers have a greater role to reform the society, said Manohar.
Bantwal town councillor Ramakrishna Alva inaugurated and presided the programme.
ZP members Chandraprakash Shetty, M S Mohammed, Manjula Madhav Mave and Mamata D S Gatti, deputy councillor Mohammed Nandarabettu, past councillor Vasanti Chandappa, Mohammed Iqbal Goodinabali, Mohammed Sharif, TP members Padmasri D Shetty, Savita and Baby, Rotary Club president Karunakar Shetty, Dr Rameshanand Somayaji, arts teachers Association district president Mahabala Kula were the chief guests of the occasion.
The artiste Taranat Kottary and his group was felicitated on the same occasion.
The state government employees Association president Umanat Kotian, national award recipient teacher Ramesh Nayak Rayee, primary teachers Association president Shivaprasad Shetty were present at the dais.
The block education officer Sheshashayana Karinja welcomed the gathering. The resource centre co-ordinator Rajesh proposed vote of thanks. The teacher B Ramachandra Rao compered the programmme.
