Udupi: State admin to launch farmers contact programme to address issues - Minister Sorake

Udupi, 13 March 2016: The state government is contemplating on introducing an innovate farmers contact programme, to distribute necessary facilities at their door steps with the view of solving the issues of farmers fraternity, said district-in-charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake.
The minister Sorake was speaking after inaugurating Grama Vikas Yojana at Heroor that comes under the limits of Majoor gram panchayat, near Bantakal, here on Saturday March 12.
In order to develop the least developed villages in the district, Rs 75 lac will be sanctioned to develop rural roads, set up library, auditorium and open air theatre etc. It will be undertaken in 5 villages of each legislative assembly constituency of district. It will be implemented in 5 villages including Heroor in Kaup legislative assembly constituency, said minister Sorake.
Majoor gram panchayat president Sandeep presided the programme.
Majoor gram panchayat vice president Sahana Tantri, TP member Sasiprabha Shetty, Deviprasad Shetty, the members of Majoor gram panhayat, TP CEO Janardhan and other department officers were present.
Majoor former president and member Sanadamane Ganesh Shetty welcomed the gathering. PDO Pratapchandra Shetty compered the programme.
