Mangaluru: Rangolu, much-awaited Tulu movie depicting life of theater artiste premiered

Mangaluru, 12 March 2016: Rangolu, much-awaited Tulu movie that depicts the life of a theater artiste was premiered in theaters across coastal district on Friday March 11. It was produced under the banner of Bengaluru-based Sunita Creations, directed by A V Jayaraj with renowned cast from Kannada and Tulu filmdom.
The noted veteran theater artiste and director Sadanand Suvarna launched the movie during a function held at Suchitra talkies here on Friday March 11.
Speaking on the occasion, Sadanand said, ‘Rangolu, Tulu movie depicts the struggles of a theater artiste, while each character would be dear to any artiste.’ He urged the movie-lovers to patronize the movie.
The litterateur Dr Na Damodar Shetty, Chalipolilu – Tulu movie producer Prakash Pandeshwar, DK district working journalists Association president Jagannat Shetty Bala, director A V Jayaraj, artistes Chetan Rai Mani, Dinesh Attavar, Manasi Sudhir and Manoj Puttur, cameraman Mahabaleshwar Holla, theater director Deviprasad, Rohii Jagaram, Maheshmurti Suratkal and others were present.
The movie co-director Jagan Pawar compered the programme.
The movie has been shot in and around Mangaluru city and suburb of Mulky. Mayur, Prakash Bare, Arvind Bolar, Jeevan Ullal, renowned actor Padmaja Rao are cast in the movie.
The veteran music director T G Gopalakrishna provided the playback music.
The movie is premiered in Big Cinemas, Cinepolis, PVR including Suchitra theaters in city, Nakshatra theater in B C Road, Bantwal and I-nax theater in Manipal.
