Puttur: St Philomena College celebrates Women’s Day with lectures & cultural shows

Puttur, 10 March 2016: Women Empowerment Cell of St Philomena College here celebrated International Women’s Day at their auditorium here on March 8.
Vivekananda B Ed College principal Dr Shobhitha Satish was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion she said, ‘Women play a vital role in the society. She has been playing multiple roles as mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend and a professional in her respective role at work place. She has been bestowed with great power to transform the society.’
The campus director Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro was the guest of honor.
The principal Professor Leo Noronha presided the programme.
The convener of Women Empowerment Cell Professor Venkateshwari K S was present.
Sahana Rao and group presented the prayer song. Josvita Lorraine Lobo welcomed the gathering. Anarghya proposed the vote of thanks. Elizabeth Sebastian compered the programme.
In second part of this programme, students have performed various cultural events like songs, dances and skits.
