Saptaswara Cultural Association celebrates decennial celebrations themed national brotherhood

Mumbai, 07 March 2016: Saptaswara Cultural Association® Mumbai celebrated the decennial celebrations in a unique way to promote national brotherhood at Dr M Vishveshwarayya auditorium, Karnataka Sangha Mumbai, Matunga (West) here on Sunday March 6.

 

S N Udupa, chief priest of Umamaheshwari temple, Jerimeri, Andheri (East) offered motion for the stage programme that was held on recent martyr Hanumantappa Koppad stage here on Sunday evening.

Veerakesari Kalavrunda Mumbai president Ramesh K Shetty Payyar presided the programme.

 

The entrepreneur and Harekrishna Foundation founder chairman Karunakar Putran was the chief guest of the occasion.

 

The social activist Ravindra S Kotian, Laxmi N Kotian, Sudhakar Poojary, Nilesh Poojary Palimar, Suresh Poojary Aladangady and Ashok R Yadav were the guests of honour.

 

Speaking on the occasion Udupa said, ‘The efforts of theatre artistes are worthwhile, if the audiences jam pack the halls with earnestness. Saptaswara Cultural Association® Mumbai has been successful in this regard.’

 

Ramesh Payyar in his presidential address said that Saptaswara Cultural Association® has set a role model by helping the ailing theatre artiste for their treatment, besides promoting theatre.

 

The vice president Uday Venoor, secretary Prasanna Kuntady, treasurer Satish Mantrady, joint treasurer Anil Siddakatte, members Prabhakar Belvai, Muralidar, Shivaprasad Puttur and others were present.

 

The Association president Madhav Padil welcomed the gathering. The honorary president Bhaskar Sasihitlu delivered the introductory address. The joint secretary Mamata Shetty Majalabettu compered the cultural events. The vice president Satish Yermal compered the programme.

 

The members of Tulu – Kannada Associations and their children presented dance shows as part of cultural programme.

 

Yamana Dane Namoone…? Tulu social play by renowned playwright Dinesh Kankanady directed by Bhaskar Sasihitlu was staged by the artistes of Saptaswara Cultural Association.
