Mangaluru: Crowning head of historical Jogi mutt, Kadri fosters unity - Swami Mohandas

Mangaluru, 04 March 2016: Swami Mohandas Paramahamsa of Manila in Bantwal taluk said that the ascension ceremony that is a rare occasion of crowning the head of historical Jogi mutt, Kadri, here indeed unite the people of different faith, caste and creed.
Swami Mohandas was speaking during the second day’s discourse held on Siddaguru Sundaranat stage in the premises of Jogi mutt, Kadri, here on Thursday March 3. It was held as part of ascension ceremony.
He further said, ‘Jogi community, a significant spiritually thriving community is much organized. It has been encouraging the sages and holy men since ancient times,’ said Swami Mohandas.
The journalist B Ravindra Shetty was the chief guest said, ‘We are fortunate to be born in the holy land of Bharat that is the cradle of religion and culture. Its conducive for religiousness, said Shetty.
The city-based Sri Devi Education Institutions chairman A Sadanand Shetty recalled his childhold memories and said, ‘Jogi mutt and the community has progressed since the past,’ and hoped they excel further in the future.
A J Group chairman A J Shetty presided the programme.
The saxophone maestro Kadri Gopalnat, M M Constructions managing director Mahabala Kottary, Udupi Jogi community leader Naveen Kumar was the guests present.
Karnataka Jogi Samaj Sudharak Sangh chairman Kiran Kumar Jogi, general secretary Gangadhar B, advisor M Suresh Jogi was also present.
Taranat Jogi and Sridar Jogi Kanantoor were felicitated on the same occasion.
H Purushottam welcomed the gathering. Keshav Kadri compered the programme.
