Bantwal: Wildfire rages hundreds of acres of plantations at B Muda village

Bantwal, 19 Feb 2016: Hundreds of acres of rubber, cashew and palm groves including nearby forest was gutted in a wildfire at Pilatabettu, Kavalamudoor, Panjikallu, Kolnad and many areas of B Muda village on Thursday February 18 morning.

 

 

The plantations owned by many farmers were perished in the wildfire that raged till evening.

 

The fire brigade from Bantwal and Puttur were trying to contain the wildfire on Thursday till late evening.

 

The local residents were engaged in herculean task to save their homes from wildfire by putting their united efforts in curbing the wildfire.
