Mumbai, 16 Feb 2016: The Progressive Konkani Writers Forum® organized half-day workshop on Konkani shorts stories at St Joseph’s parish auditorium, Mira Road, here on Sunday February 14.
Fr Joaquim Rodrigues after inaugurating the workshop said, ‘I have toured many nations of globe whilst working as missionary. I was able to speak many languages, but my mother tongue Konkani will be intimate till I say goodbye to life on earth,’ said Fr Rodrigues.
The Progressive Konkani Writers Forum Mumbai chief co-ordinator Joy Paladka in his welcome address said, ‘Instead of the mute spectator for changed times, one got to be united for the cause of Konkani to excel its literature,’ said Joy.
Dr Edward Nazareth spoke on how he could author short stories in lucid manner.
Anant Amembal, Joy Paladka, Gregory Niddody and Hilary D’Silva partaken in the discussion.
Divo, Konkani Illustrated Weekly editor Lawrence Coelho, Suzanne Coelho, Harryboy, Ancy Paladka, Lawrence D’Souza Kamani, John Crasta and nearly 40 people were present.
