Karkala: Lack of moral values destruct families - Swami Esha

Karkala, 14 Feb 2016: The vices such as caste, creed and faith in the society threaten the communal harmony. When the parents are well cultured, the entire family will be alright. The harmony and brotherhood comes from families. The mother is the focal point of culture. The castes and sub-castes are not so important. The cultural upbringing since childhood lays strong foundation for cultured society. The lack of moral values and irreligiousness is leading the families to crossroads, said Swami Esha Vittaladas of Sadipani Sadhanashram, Kemaru.
Swami Esha was delivering religious discourse during the vedic celebration and inauguration of newly-built open stage by Durga Ganesh devotees, Peralpade, Padubelman, and Durga Ganesh women unit, here on Thursday February 11.
The renowned folklore scholar Tulubolli Dayanand Kattalsar, in his keynote address said, ‘The land of Tulunadu is sacred that is created by Parashuram. It has been blessed by the penance of hundreds of sages. It’s the land free from natural calamities. The Indian continent is abode of God, wherein the creator is worshiped in his eternal glory. The parents, elders are respected,’ said Dayanand.
Vignesh Bhat, managing trustee of Durgaparameshwari temple, Belman, near here inaugurated the newly-built open stage.
The renowned entrepreneur and social activist Gurme Suresh Shetty presided the programme.
Sr Moura, retired head teacher of St Joseph Higher Primary School, Belman, near here who is also recipient of national award; world record holder Rajesh Prabhu Pernal for dehusking coconut using nails, teeth and bare feet; World Karate champion Nivita Cardona, veteran farmer Sesu Shetty were felicitated on the same occasion.
Narayan Bhat Padubelman, Raghuveer Rao Madkumane, Sridar Bhat Belman, Suhas Hegde, entrepreneur Suryakant Shetty, N K Salian of Sri Krishna Group, Dr Prabhakar Nayak, Jaya Shetty, Ashok Shetty, Prabhakar Shetty, Shekar Poojary, Ratnakar Jantra, Nityanand Shetty, Prakash D’Souza were present at the dais.
Dorothy Pinto welcomed the gathering. Meenakshi proposed vote of thanks. Sunil Dev and Ganapati Acharya compered the programme.
Free food offering was held on the occasion, followed by Indrali Junction, Tulu play staged by Rangataranga drama troupe and variety cultural were presented by the children.
