Bantwal: Residents of Jumadigudde, Farangipet to boycott ZP/TP elections on Feb 20

Bantwal, 04 Feb 2016: The local residents put up a hoarding to boycott the upcoming TP and ZP elections on February 20, for not repairing the road to Jumadigudde, near Farangipet that comes at the limits of Pudu gram panchayat, near here.
The pathway to Jumadigudde touching old road of Farangipet, near here is lies in deplored state, where over 30 families live on either side. In a tragic incident that occurred during monsoon in 2015, 3 laborers died in a landslide owing to the construction of private residential apartment complex that lies behind Pudu gram panchayat office. It had occurred because of the neglect of builder and panchayat administration. Its owing to the landslide, 9 families are landlocked.
Despite several pleas to the department officers and peoples representatives, the pathway has not repaired. The local residents decided to boycott the upcoming TP and ZP elections on February 20 and shunned the political parties soliciting for votes in their locality.
