Mangaluru: Manjunath Marati & Sushma were champions at district Weightlifting

Mangaluru, 30 Jan 2016: Manjunath Marati, student of SDM College, Ujire in Beltangady taluk and Sushma, student of Alvas College in Moodbidri were the district level top weightlifters in men’s and women’s weightlifting championship held in Town Hall, here from January 27 to January 28, as part of Karavali Utsav.

 

Davala College, Moodbidri and St Philomena College, Puttur bagged the first and second place in men’s division.

 

 

Alvas College, Moodbidri bagged the first place, Venkataramana Women’s College, Karkala and SDM College, Ujire in Beltangady taluk bagged the second and third place in the women’s division.

 

The mayor Jacinta V Alfred presided the prize distribution function held at Town Hall, here on Thursday January 28.

 

The municipal commissioner S Gopalakrishna, senior lawyer Nagar Narayan Shenoy and others were the chief guests present.
