Karkala: R-Day celebrations held with gaiety & patriotic flavor at Belman School

Karkala, 27 Jan 2016: India is the largest democratic nation in the world, while it’s our duty to recognize the martyrs who laid down the life safeguarding our country. The Indian Constitution bestowed equality, mutual love and trust among countrymen. It’s also our key responsibility to protect democratic values, said Fr Lawrence B D’Souza, correspondent of St Joseph’s group of education institutions, Belman, near here.
Fr Lawrence was speaking during Republic Day celebrations held at St Joseph’s education institutions, Belman, near here on Tuesday January 26.
Belman parish assistant priest Fr J B Moras, convent superior Sr Usha Stella, higher primary School head teacher Sr Lucy Pereira, high School head teacher Anita Kamalini were present at the dais.
NCC cadets presented attractive march past, patriotic singing by the students as part of Republic Day celebrations.
The high School NCC officer Haridas Prabhu compered the programme. The senior teacher B Pundalika Marate assisted in the programme. The teacher Vincent Pinto proposed vote of thanks.
