Mangaluru: Ammanadege Namma Nade, Walkathon to Kateel Temple on Jan 24

Mangaluru, 21 Jan 2016: Ammanadege Namma Nade, walkathon of devotees will be held to Sri Durga Parameshwari temple, Kateel, here as every year on Sunday January 24. The Committee formed at the leadership of Sandeep Shetty Maravoor will be held for the third consecutive year, said Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli.
Addressing the media persons at the conference here on Wednesday January 20, walkathon to Durgaparameshwari temple will be held on Sunday January 24 at 7.30am. The confluence of devotees will take place at Maravoor temple at 6.30am, followed by singing devotional song composed by Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Kateel temple priest Asranna and Swami K S Nityanand will flag-off the walkathon.
The devotees arriving from faraway cities and towns will be accommodated at Maravoor temple premises. They will be provided with breakfast and proceed towards Kateel temple where they can pay obeisance to Kateel temple deity Durgaparameshwari. The South Canara Bus Owners Association will ply buses from select locations to bring the devotees from 6.30am. The drinking water and beverages will be provided through the walkathon, with medical care and volunteers providing adequate security.
The walkathon Committee president Maravoor Sukesh Shetty Mundaruguttu, Raghav M and Venugopal Putran were present.
