Mangaluru: Dakshina kannada not investor friendly, says MLA

Mangaluru, 13 Jan 2016: The state government is ignoring Dakshina Kannada by not creating an investor-friendly atmosphere in the district, Mangaluru City South MLA JR Lobo has said on Tuesday.
Lobo’s comment came at the Invest Dakshina Kannada, an investors’ meet, where entrepreneurs and companies proposed an investment to the tune of `12,000 crore in the district, including `10,000 crore by Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), which upgrade its refinery and increase capacity by expanding its operation area by 1,050 acres.
"Investors have raised several issues but the government has not doing anything about it. We need to provide proper roads, water and power to make the region investor-friendly," Lobo said.
