Udupi: Jyothi Club Durganagar celebrates Annual Day with a Tulu Drama ’Raddet Err Edde’

Durganagar/Shankerpura, 09 Jan 2016: The most hilarious Tulu Drama “Raddet Err Edde" by Kusalda Kalavider of Lakumi Drama Troupe directed by Kishore D. Shetty was staged at Durganagar, Billiyaru, Shankerpura to a large audience on Thursday 7th January 2016.
The drama was the entertainment part of the 32rd Annual Day Celebrations of Jyothi Club, Durganagar which involves in loads of social and charitable deeds and helps many noble causes. It’s a well-organized club and members belong to all religions and language speaking people and it’s a well-known social club of Shankerpura.
The grand 32rd annual day celebrations of Jyothi Club began with a few dances by local children and enthralled the audience.
A brief stage program was held and main dignitaries of the day were invited to the dais by President Dinesh Achari namely Sri Naveen Amin – Proprietor, Friends Caterers, Sri Vishnu Bhatt, Principal, Hindu Jr. College, Shirva, Sri Rayan Mathias, Professor, Milagrese College, Eric Sunil Hon. Guest.
Mr. Dinesh Achari accorded the hearty welcome to all the guests and honoured with roses. He thanked all guests coming to their 32rd annual function and also thanked each member of the club for their dedication to the club and service to the people around.
Mr. Harish Kullal, Vice President read the annual report wherein loads of activities and social services performed by Jyoti Club were highlighted.
All the guests on the dais lit the traditional lamp and a short prayer invoking Gods blessings were sung by local children.
The Chief Sri Guest Naveen Amin spoke on the occasion and advised to all parents to limit their time watching serials and give importance to children to enhance their talents and sacrifice their time and energy to involve their kids to teach dance, singing and art and support them as much as possible to develop their hidden talents.
Sri Rayan Mathias also spoke on the occasion and advised all parents to take care of their kids especially concerning their safety at school and public places.
Sri Vishnu Bhatt in his address thanked Jyothi Club members for organizing annual celebrations and also lauded their various services to the society. He encouraged enrolling more members and involving themselves in charitable deeds than communal activities. He was happy to see all people of all religions are united in the Jyoti Club and grateful for them for their social services.
The vote of thanks was red by Prashant Kulal, General Secretary of Jyothi Club.
As the part of the annual celebrations, the members of Lakumi Drama troupe of Kishore D. Shetty a hilarious and social tulu Drama “Raddet Err Edde" was performed to the rib tickling laughter by the large number of audience present.
