Puttur: NSS Special Camp of St Philomena College concludes

Puttur, 04 Jan 2016: The valedictory function of St Philomena College NSS annual special camp was held at Government High School, Biliyooru, Madattaru, near here on January 1.
The chief guest Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, chairman of PG Studies and Research Centre of the College said, ‘NSS camp provides ample opportunities for the students to develop their personality. The experiences of the camp must be the guiding force in their future life.’
The physical education teacher of Government High School, Biliyooru - A Jattappa Gowda delivered the valedictory address. The correspondent of the College Fr Alfred J Pinto presided the function.
The member School Betterment Committee Jayavikrama Sorake, members of Perne gram panchayat Abdul Razak and Jayantha Poojary, former president of Perne gram panchayat Taniyappa Poojary, assistant camp officer Dhanya and office Superintendent of the College Victorian Fernandes were present on this occasion.
NSS Officer Professor Nagaraju welcomed the gathering. The volunteers Kavyajyothi, Yashaswini, Abhishek and Nagendra presented camp experiences. NSS Officer Professor Geetha Poornima proposed vote of thanks. Shwetha compered the programme.
