Mangaluru: St Aloysius Gonzaga School celebrates annual day

Mangaluru, 25 Dec 2015: St Aloysius Gonzaga School here celebrated its fourth annual day at the Loyola Hall of St Aloysius PU College here on Wednesday December 23, highlighting the theme - The world is a global village, together let us do our part.
Dr M Subramanyam, commissioner of central excise and service tax, Mangaluru, was the chief guest and M Kavitha S. Shastri, district governor of Lions Club International was the guest of honour.
Fr Denzel Lobo SJ, Rector of St Aloysius education Institutions presided the function.
Fr Ivan Mendonca SJ, manager of the school and the principal Grace Noronha were present at the dais.
The guests were welcomed traditionally. The programme began with a solemn prayer song followed by heart-touching welcome dance.
Fr Ivan Mendonca SJ welcomed the gathering. The principal Grace Noronha presented the annual report and briefed the highlights of the special events for the academic year 2015-2016 supported by a PowerPoint presentation.
Addressing the gathering Dr M Subramaniam appreciated the efforts of the School in bringing internationalism in the curriculum, providing the students a platform to have a better understanding of the world. He also expressed his joy for the tremendous commitment and dedication of the school in all round development of the students.
The students presented a colourful programme sensitising the audience on the current global crisis.
The programme was compered by Mohammed Attik and Akif Asif of Class VIII. Siddarth Holla of Class VIII proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was concluded with the school anthem.
