Mumbai: Indian Railways announces Christmas special train services on Konkani Rail route

Mumbai, 19 Dec 2015: Indian Railways Board announced Christmas and New Year special train services for the convenience of passengers travelling in Konkan Railway route, from Ahmedabad – Mangaluru and Mumbai Central – Mangaluru.
Accordingly, Southern Railway will run special train services bearing number 09415 from Ahmedabad to Mangaluru on December 24 and December 31 (Thursdays). The train will department from Ahmedabad at 4.30pm, reach Vasai on Friday at 12.40am, Panvel at 2.30am, Udupi at 4.20pm and Mangaluru at 6.15pm.
The same train bearing number 09416 will depart from Mangaluru on December 25 and January 1(Fridays) at 9.30pm, reach Udupi at 10.34pm, Panvel on Saturday at 3.15am, Vasai at 4.10pm and Ahmedabad on Sunday at 12.20am.
Another train bearing number 09009 will department from Mumbai Central on December 23 and December 30 (Wednesdays) at 11.15pm, reach Borivali on Thursday 12.02am, Panvel at 2.30am, Udupi at 5.40pm and Mangaluru at 7.15pm. The same train with number 09010 will depart Mangaluru on December 24 and December 31 (Thursdays) at 10.30pm, reaching Udupi at 11.40pm, Panvel on Friday at 1.40pm, Vasai at 5.40pm, Borivali at 6.20pm and Mumbai Central at 7.25pm.
Railway Yatri Sangh Borivali (West) honorary president Virar Shankar Shetty, president Simantoor Uday Shetty, general sedretary Sheela Shetty, Railway Yatri Sangh® Udupi president R L Dias and other office bearers expressed happiness over railway authorities for announcing special trains services.

Good facilities by rails without proper plannig. Reservaton means wait list and when you enter the compartment seats are vacant. It reminds me of a Thuglak who ruled India, in history.Like wise there could be well planned announcements well before the season, which is a regular and definite time sheduled. last moments decisions lead into losses.I wish the Railway department plans introduction of new trains well in ime so that consumers can make use of the facilityies. |
