Kuwait: KWAK celebrates Christmas Tree Programme with family get-together

Kuwait, 17 Dec 2015: Kanajar Welfare Association Kuwait (KWAK) celebrated its Christmas Tree programme at Salmiya Hall, here on December 11 evening.
KWAK president Ivan Menezes welcomed the gathering. The cultural secretary Gretta D’Sa led the prayer to begin the programme. A special Advent Message was presented by Leena Fernandes and team with 5 color candles and pluck cards.
Christmas cake was cut by main sponsor of the event Lawrence Saldanha together with co-sponsor Robert D’Souza and Committee members.
Kanajar kids participated in Christmas dance and soon after, all Committee members joined in carol singing. Christmas theme was well written and directed by Edward D’Souza and presented by the Committee members to spread the importance of Christmas.
Santa Clause entry was the special attraction of the event with the kids and goodie bags were distributed to all the kids.
Well known choreographer and dancer Vinitha D’souza and group performed Konkani folk dance. Games for adults and kids were conducted by Melvyn Mascrenhas and Leena Fernandes.
The programme was continued with the skits presented by Antony Miranda and group. Maxim and Irene Pinto presented Konkani songs followed by folk dance by Committee members.
Prem Crasto captured the whole event with his skills in photography. DJ Ralph Serrao played lovely numbers. Housie-Housie was the part of the programme and conducted by Edward D’Souza and Steve Rodrigues.
KWAK vice president Rishawn D’Souza proposed vote of thanks. KWAK founder president Lawrence Saldanha appreciated each one, who worked for the success of the event.
Prayer before meal was recited by Cathy Machado and grace after meal by Razel Menezes. The delicious Mangalorean food was served by Deepak Martis to all the guests.
The programme was compered by Melvyn Mascrenhas and Edward D’Souza. The programme was co-ordinated by Leena Fernandes and well supported by management Committee members.
