Mumbai: St Paul’s Catholic Association, Fort celebrates 73rd Anniversary

Mumbai, 15 Dec 2015: St Paul’s Catholic Association Mumbai® celebrated its Founder’s Day and seventy-third anniversary at their auditorium, Fort, here on Sunday December 13.
Earlier, Thanksgiving Mass in Konkani was celebrated by Fr Joachim D’Souza at Holy Name Cathedral, Woodhouse, Colaba, here on Sunday morning.
Sewrine I Quadros, Renita J Lasrado and Geeta S D’Silva offered motion for the simple stage programme held at St Paul’s hall. The young entrepreneur and former president Stany Fernandes was the chief guest of the occasion. Antony D’Sozua, Francis Mathias and Thomas Noronha were the guests of honour.
Stany Fernandes garlanded to the statue of St Paul and also released, Jeevit, Konkani memorial bulletin on the same occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Stany said that Christians are born with noble virtue of social service who have imprinted their legacy. The ancestors of Christians who have set an example by striving for uplifting the poor and downtrodden, said Stany. He also urged the community to free themselves from self centredness and be committed to lay strong foundation for future generation, urged Stany.
The honorary secretary Richard D’Souza said that the celebrations display unity that is being proven in the celebration of 73rd anniversary. He also called on the community to be united for the betterment of society by unity.
The Association president Antony D’Souza, vice president Prasad Nazareth, honorary treasurer Michael Lobo, joint secretary Antony Nazareth, joint secretary Sunil Tauro were present at the dais.
Christmas wishes were exchanged among the community.
Thomas D’Souza, Michael Lobo and Ivan Fernandes offered floral welcome to the guests. Ryan Castelino compered the programme.
