Karkala: Rajapura Saraswat Sangh confers Man of 2015 title to Arvind Nayak Bengaluru

Karkala, 13 Dec 2015: Rajapura Saraswat Sangh®, Hirgana, near here conferred Man of the year 2015 to Arvind Nayak, the social activist hailing from Karkala who is also trustee of under construction Durgaparameshwari temple in Bengaluru, during the anniversary celebration of Rajapura Saraswat Sangh held at Adishkati Mahalaxmi temple hall, Hirgana, near here recently.
The temple managing trustee Jagdish Nayak T A presided the programme.
Mangalore University – Chair of Konkani Studies advisory Committee member and senior teacher of St Joseph School – Belman B Pundalika Marate, was the chief guest said Rajapura Saraswat community is basically agrarian, and their population is small, but excelled in every sphere because of talent and unity. It’s the duty of well of among the community to help poor to come to mainstream of society.
Karnataka Bank general manager Upendra Prabhu congratulated the talented students of the community.
The women wing president Usha Nayak, Jayaprakash Nayak and secretary Satish Ambelkar were present.
The president Hirgana Ashok Nayak welcomed the gathering. Kaduhole Anand Prabhu proposed vote of thanks. Balakrishna Nayak compered the programme.
The event concluded with the Yakshagana play, Sudarshan Vijaya staged by the members of women wing.
