Karkala: Charity works as penance for sins of human being - Swami Saraswati

Karkala, 13 Dec 2015: The knowledge at the click of mouse in this information and technologically fast advancing era. Meanwhile, one needs spiritual guidance of Guru to attain mental and spiritual bliss, said Swami Shivanand Saraswati of Kaivalya mutt.
Swami Shivanand was speaking during the religious discourse that was held on the occasion of Karthik Deepotsav at Adishakti Mahalaxmi temple, Hirgana, near here on Thursday December 10.
‘Any person knowingly or unknowingly commits sins that can be absolved by good deeds and charity. Good deeds will have eternal reward,’ said Swami Shivanand.
The temple governing council trustees Kaduhole Anand Nayak and Madhav Nayak offered pada puja of Swami Shivanand.
The temple celebrant Mahesh Bhat, RSB Sangh president Ashok Nayak and Santosh Wagle were present at the dais.
The temple governing council managing trustee T A Jagdish Nayak welcomed the gathering. Balakrishna Nayak compered the programme.
Deepotsav and religious rites were held with pomp and gaiety at the temple after the stage programme.
