Bantwal, 22 Nov 2015: One gets happiness whilst reading good literature and it remains ever fresh in memory for long. The need of the hour is to create literature that does not hurt others, said senior well known journalist Manohar Prasad.
Manohar was speaking after releasing Kannada collection of enthusing articles book, Ho…Yenu..?, authored by Anita Naresh and published by Teju Publication of Bengaluru, during the simple function held at Manchi, near here on Saturday November 21.
The humor litterateur Bhuvaneshwari Hegde inaugurated the programme. It’s our duty to create interest on reading books among children and also sensitize them on our culture, said Manohar.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhuvaneshwari said that literary programmes enhance positive thinking. The critic columnist Ramanath read the foreword of the book.
Ramachandra Bhat Kaje welcomed the gathering. Dr Surekha Ravishankar compered the programme.
Megha Kayarpady and Reshma Narasimha Kaje presented short-duration musical concert.
The Yakshagana artistes Murali Krishna Tenkabail, Kavyasri Ajeru, Nekkaremule Ganesh, Nidwaje Shankar Bhat, Subramanya Murari presented Yakshagana Taalamaddale.
Kishore Bhat Komme compered the show.
