Mangaluru: Save Netravati bike rally to Yettinahole Project site on Nov 15

Mangaluru, 13 Nov 2015: Dakshina Kannada district bike enthusiasts will be holding a bike rally on Sunday November 15 to the location of Yettinahole project, to strongly opposing the ongoing works despite the opposition of coastal residents because it threatens the lifeline Netravati River.
The rally themed, Abandon Yettinahole Project – Save Netravati, will begin from city, covering Uppinangady, Gundya, Shiradi, Kadagarahalli, Aluvalli, Yettinahole, Kerihole, Yettinahalla, Heggadde, Sattigala and Hebbasale, where the organizers will light traditional lamps and offer puja to Netravati River, with the hope that it would ever flow sustaining the humanity along its path.
Over 100 different varieties of bikes will partake in the rally that will be flagged off by Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel at Mangala Stadium, here on Sunday at 7.30am. The rally aims at the commitment of coastal residents regardless of caste, creed and faith to save lifeline Netravati River.
