Mangaluru: Prof T D Kemparaju takes charge as new varsity Registrar

Mangaluru, 01 Nov 2015: Dr T D Kemparaju, Professor of Library and Information Science from Bangalore University has taken charge as the new Registrar of Mangalore University on Saturday October 31 morning from the outgoing Registrar Professor P S Yadapadithaya.
Dr Kemparaju is hailing from Mandya district. He secured M Lib Sc and Ph D from the University of Mysore.
He joined Bangalore University department of library and information science as Assistant Professor in 1981 and worked as the professor and chairman till recently.
With rich experience of 34 years, he has 36 publications in the national and international research journals along with heading a major UGC research project.
He also served Bangalore University in different capacities. He was the director of directorate of Planning Monitoring and Evaluation (PME), director of directorate of Distance Education and chairman of various Statute Review Committees.
Expressing happiness on the new assignment he said, ‘Mangalore University is known for academic excellence. The work culture in the University is excellent.’
Professor Kemparaju is optimistic about strengthening resources infrastructures and developmental activities.
